I am hoping to add a project page to my website soon so I can share my complete projects. My final project at RISD was on my father and his farm. I made a video and a book for him. The images range from portraits of my father going about his daily activities, to the various places, objects and details in and around his farm.
The Stony Brook Camera Club is currently exhibiting at the Norfolk Library in Norfolk, MA. I have 4 pieces in this show from my Barns Project. There is quite a variety of work to see here. We stopped in Bay St. Louis, LA on the way to New Orleans for a cup of coffee and found this cemetery behind the shop. Unfortunately I was swarmed by some kind of mosquito like bug and had to make an early run for it!
While in Mississippi and Louisiana we photographed many remnants of docks left from Katrina.

During the trip we went on a swamp tour of the Pearl River in LA. There were several ships that had been washed 20 miles upriver during Katrina and have been left where they landed.

More Swamp The only bad thing about the Swamp Tour was that we went mid day! Live and learn I guess!
I recently went down to Biloxi, MS to photograph what I could of the oil spill. I went with two fellow classmates from RISD for 3 nights. We saw much of the same from Pascagoula, MS down to New Orleans. The beaches were empty except for the workers which combed the beach all day long for tar balls, etc… We saw much remnants of Katrina all along the coastline. (See next post) Businesses appear to be struggling with the lack of tourists. It was an interesting but sad trip I must say.
My work is currently on display at the Hawthorne Suites Hotel Franklin Hawthorn Suites 835 Upper Union Street (Route 495 Exit 16) Franklin, MA 02038 Phone: 508-553-3500 Exhibit on display April 2010 thru June 2010
I have not finished going though these yet but here are a few that I like. The Boston Flower Show was held at the World Trade Center in Boston in March - 2010
I am late to post! I have been taking so many photographs I haven’t had time to edit! I went out to Norwood Airport a few weeks ago and this was the scene! The golf course was not in much better shape.
For the past three years, 26 BPC members have documented Boston
neighborhoods and we’re excited for the first exhibition! This
project began as an expansion of our “Public Garden Project” which has
been held during the past four summers. As Boston-area photographers, we
thought it most important to document our own urban environment.
We invite you to attend the opening of our first exhibition on
Wednesday evening. The exhibition has been curated by Banafsheh Ehtemam,
and co-organized by Katherine Kominis and Sanjay Subbanna. Each BPC
member who created a photo documentary of a Boston neighborhood will
exhibit one photo from their portfolio. From 7 to 8 p.m., the
photographers will host a discussion and will show additional photos.
Please come to see some great photos, hear about documentary
photography, and support BPC members!
